The VEECON ROK Corporation will be launching a City Wide Wi-Fi network across 25 Indian cities. The City-Wide Wi-Fi Network will include the following cities Vijayawada, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Panaji, Pune, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Patna, Cochin, Guwahati, Tirupati, Shimla, Chandigarh, Noida, Gurugram, Indore & Agra.
The move comes in line with Government of India’s digitisation efforts to provide internet access to every Indian City Wide Wi-Fi Network will offer internet access across large portions of India and will be operated in association with BSNL. The VEECON ROK Corporation has been founded with one purpose: to bring high-speed internet to India. VEECON ROK proprietary technologies will deliver mesh Wi-Fi XL networks to Smart Cities across India, connecting its people to the world that is reliable, durable, secure and cost-effective. The VEECON ROK Corporation will also be launching a new line of Veecon ROKiT handsets, including India’s first 3D glasses-free mobile phone. There will be a total of 5 handsets scheduled to launch in Q2 2019. The ROKiT IO 3D and ROKiT IO Pro 3D are the first glasses-free 3D smartphones. The ROKiT mobile series will be bundled with BSNL SIMs and will be sold through 22,500 BSNL Carrier owned service centers, with the initial Q1 availability in the 500 largest service centers.
